On January 10, 2024, Associate Professor Faphilai Thaveesinsopa, Director of the College of Hospitality and Tourism, assigned the English for International Communication program and the Hotel and Tourism program at the College of Hospitality and Tourism to organize the first English Edutainment Camp. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Siripunyakorn Kraithep, Head of the Hotel and Tourism program, with a masterclass on TCAS 2024, TGAT1, and A-Level 82. The camp was designed for high school students in grades 10-12 from Kampang Wittaya School in Satun Province. Esteemed lecturers, including Dr. Piyanart Arkkraisi, Associate Professor Piyapat Chueain, and Associate Professor Supaporn Charoensuk from the English for International Communication program, served as trainers for the camp. The event was held at the Coastal Tourism and Specialized Training Development Center, Southern Andaman Center, College of Hospitality and Tourism, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus.
The objectives of the camp were to enhance English language skills, improve communication abilities in both real-life and simulated situations, and prepare students for further education in English. Additionally, the organizers took the students on a tour of the spa laboratory and housekeeping laboratory to build practical hotel management skills. The event was filled with fun, warmth, and a friendly atmosphere.
