Professional Bartender Course: Shaking Up Sustainability for a Greener Bar

The College of Hospitality and Tourism at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus, in collaboration with the Trang Skill Development Office, organized a Professional Bartender Training Course from July 16-19, 2023. This training is part of the project “From Crisis to Adaptation: High-Quality Marine Tourism Development in the Gulf of Thailand-Andaman through Ecosystem Learning, Modern Management, Technology, and Innovation,” specifically under sub-activities 3 and 6.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Assistant Professor Fahpilai Taweesinsopha, Director of the College of Hospitality and Tourism, and Mr. Somjai Poltawee, Director of the Trang Skill Development Office. Special guest speakers, including Mr. Thanapol Jindamanee, Mr. Chonlathorn Phaladang, Ms. Piyanart Akkraikirisih, and Mr. Hatschaipakorn Panma, shared their expertise. The project was overseen by Ms. Piyanart Akkraikirisih, Chairperson of the Bachelor of Arts in English for International Communication, and Mr. Hatschaipakorn Panma, Lecturer in Business Management and Development.
The theme of this year’s workshop, “Shaking Up Sustainability,” aimed to raise awareness about sustainable bartending. The training emphasized using local ingredients to reduce carbon footprints, creative drink mixing techniques, and waste management to minimize greenhouse gas emissions. Over 30 entrepreneurs and interested individuals attended the free training held at the Trang Skill Development Office.
