Empowering Tourism Industry with successfully Camp Director workshop


College of hospitality and tourism (CHT), Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus held a workshop on camp director during 18 – 19 July 2024 as part of “From Crisis to Adaptation: Developing High-Quality Marine Tourism in the Gulf of Thailand-Andaman through Learning Ecosystem Development, Modern Management, Technology, and Innovation” at Workforce Development Centre Supporting New Normal Coastal Tourism Industry with Innovation and Technology, CHT building and Ban Mod Tanoi village, Kantang district, Trang.
Asst.Prof. Faphilai Thaweesinsopa, director of college of hospitality and tourism presided over the ceremony to honor and encourage the training participants. The experienced speakers were Khun Sanit Ongsara from Khoa Phub Pha Resort, Khun Ongart Phattamrongkiat from Bung Ong Camp- Homestay on Koh Sukorn, Trang along with lecturers from CHT including Dr. Suyaporn Sosakul, Dr. Jutima Boonmee, and Dr. Kuliga Thanasavet. The activities included both theoretical and practical training related to planning and selecting for camping sites, managing the effective camps, interpersonal relations, and community engagement. This aligns with the guidelines according to the standards for organizing camping activities to develop learning ecosystem and human capital in marine tourism industry in Gulf of Thailand and Andanana Coast
