The College of Hospitality and Tourism Organizes ‘Reviewer’ Workshop to Enhance Professional Reviewing Skills and Boost Income Generation.

On January 21-22, 2025, the College of Hospitality and Tourism (CHT) at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV), Trang Campus, organized a ‘Reviewer’ Workshop at the CHT. This workshop is part of the project ‘From Crisis to Adaptation: Developing High-Quality Marine Tourism in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman through Learning Ecosystem Development, Modern Management, Technology, and Innovation.’ The workshop focuses on developing review skills, content creation for promotions, and utilizing review tools via smartphones. Participants learned photography, video editing, and how to maximize the benefits of social media to create professional reviews. It also provided opportunities to generate income from professional reviews.

Assistant Professor Fapilai Taweesinsopa, Director of the CHT, opened ceremony. The workshop was facilitated by lecturers Ms. Pityada Jeokwon and Ms. Siripoonyakorn Jaroenwiriyapab.

The workshop featured guest speakers who are experts in online media and reviewing, including Ms. Cherwarach Nipatchaikulya and Mr. Natthaphat Thepphulphon, who shared insights and techniques on creating engaging content. The workshop topics covered the profession of a reviewer, content creation for public relations, presentation techniques and smartphone-based tools, photography and video editing using smartphones, and monetizing reviews and content creation. Participants also engaged in hands-on practice, capturing photos, editing videos, and producing content in real settings, such as the college’s spa laboratory, resort training facilities, and the workshop environment. By applying the knowledge and techniques shared by the expert guest speakers, participants created content that could be further developed into their real projects. Beyond skill development, the workshop also served as a platform to showcase the college’s laboratories and facilities, increasing its visibility.

This workshop provided new perspectives on content creation and potential income opportunities, equipping participants with the knowledge, inspiration, and confidence to pursue a career as professional reviewers. It also reflects the commitment of the College of Hospitality and Tourism to developing skilled professionals in the tourism sector, particularly by elevating human capital and nurturing a new generation of high-potential entrepreneurs in the marine tourism industry. Additionally, the course supported upskilling and reskilling processes to align with the evolving needs of today’s tourism industry.
