Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV) Organized Digital Bootcamp: “Upskill Digital Skills for Accountants” to Enhance Lecturers’ Capabilities in the Digital Era


Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV) hosted the Digital Bootcamp: “Upskill Digital Skills for Accountants” from February 7 to 9, 2025, at Panya Anusorn Conference Room, College of Hospitality and Tourism, RMUTSV Trang Campus. The event brought together accounting lecturers from various faculties and institutions, including Faculty of Business Administration, Rattaphum College, College of Hospitality and Tourism, Faculty of Management Technology, Faculty of Engineering, and the College of Industrial Technology and Management.

On this occasion, Professor Dr. Suwat Tanyaros, President of RMUTSV, assigned Dr. Panumas Suybangdum, Vice President, to preside over the opening ceremony. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of enhancing digital technology knowledge among accounting lecturers to strengthen their academic capabilities and improve the quality of teaching, keeping pace with the rapidly evolving digital world.

AdditionallyAssistant Professor Faphilai Thaveesinsopa, Director of the College of Hospitality and Tourism, welcomed participants and outlined the project’s objectives and operational framework. The initiative focuses on developing lecturers’ digital technology skills to effectively integrate modern tools into teaching, aligning curriculum development with industry demands.

The event was honored by Ms. Phetcharat Uayphonsong, President of the Association of Certified Thai Accounting Practices, who attended as a distinguished guest. Furthermore, Mr. Rachit Chairat, Vice President of the association, addressed the attendees, reaffirming RMUTSV’s commitment to supporting the professional development of educators. He highlighted the significance of equipping lecturers with the necessary expertise to deliver modern and effective accounting education, ultimately preparing students for the digital job market.

The Digital Bootcamp: “Upskill Digital Skills for Accountants” aims to enhance accounting lecturers’ knowledge and skills in digital technology, focusing on integrating modern technological applications into teaching. This initiative seeks to modernize curricula in response to global digital transformation, improving education quality and preparing students for the digital workforce.

This project marks a significant step for RMUTSV in advancing education to meet digital-age demands while empowering lecturers to effectively transfer accounting knowledgeusing technology as a key tool.
