Explore a New Experience! English Camp “Speak and Surf: English Immersion in Trang”
The College of Hospitality and Tourism (CHT), Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV), Trang Campus, organized the “Speak and Surf: English Immersion in Trang”. This activity was a creative English camp aimed to develop English communication skills through practical experiences. The camp was designed for M. 5/10 students from the Intensive English Program (IEP) at Sriyapai School, Chumphon.
From March 31 to April 3, 2025, the camp was conducted at tourist attractions in areas of RMUTSV Trang Campus and other well-known tourist attractions in Trang. A total of 25 IEP students and 4 teachers participated in educational activities such as:
- “Island Explorers” and “Survivor: English Edition” – Simulating scenarios to practice English communication
- “Tour Guide Challenge” – Challenging tour guide skills
- “Eco-English Scavenger Hunt” – Exploring nature while enhancing language skills
- “Discover Kantang: Art, History, and Adventure” – Learning about culture and history of Kantang District
- “Speak & Surf Talent Night” – Showcasing talents and practicing English presentation skills
- “English Travel Agency” – Learning working in Tourism business
Activities were led by experienced instructors: Ajarn Piyanart Akkhakraisi, Asst. Prof. Supaphon Charoensuk, Ajarn Kuliga Tanasavate, and Ajarn Pityada Jeokwon.
This camp not only developed students’ English language skills but also built students’ confidence in using English and offered new perspectives through learning in a fun and challenging situation!
