Skill Enhancement and Experience Building!College of Hospitality and Tourism, RMUTSV Trang Campus, Teams Up with Faculty of Veterinary Science to Train Students in Diving for Practical Knowledge

The College of Hospitality and Tourism at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus has collaborated with the Faculty of Veterinary Science at RMUTSV, Nakhon Si Thammarat Campus, to organize a diving training activity for veterinary students. A total of 38 first-year students from the Veterinary Technology program and 58 second-year students from the Veterinary Science program participated in this activity, held from April to May 2025 at the College of Hospitality and Tourism, Trang Campus.

This training activity was organized as part of the course “Diving for Veterinary Students,” aimed at enhancing practical learning experiences. The goal is to ensure that students develop correct and safe diving skills, supported by expert personnel and learning resources from the College of Hospitality and Tourism.

Assistant Professor Fapilai Thaveesinsopa, Director of the College of Hospitality and Tourism, assigned Dr. Sunyaporn Sotrakul, Head of the Hotel and Tourism Department, along with Assistant Professor Thamachak Lekbanjong, a lecturer in the department, and Mr. Santipap Thipsri, an academic and research officer, to teach and oversee the diving practice sessions. All three instructors are highly experienced experts in diving and field training.

Beyond integrating knowledge between tourism and veterinary sciences, this activity also aimed to provide students with hands-on learning experiences outside the classroom. The practical skills gained, such as marine life surveying, sample collection, and fieldwork related to veterinary science, are expected to be valuable in their future careers. This academic collaboration not only builds knowledge and skills but also promotes teamwork, cooperation, and leaves a lasting positive impression on all participants.
