RUTS Launches “From Crisis to Adaptation” Project – Films Course Content for “Sustainable Bartenders: The New Era of Bartending with Sustainable Creativity” under RUTS MOOC

Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), through the Southern Andaman Workforce Development Center, has begun filming a video course titled “Sustainable Bartenders: The New Era of Bartender with Sustainable Creativity.” This course is part of the project “’From Crisis to Adaptation: Developing High-Quality Marine Tourism in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman through Learning Ecosystem Development, Modern Management, Technology, and Innovation.”, and is delivered via the RUTS MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) platform.

            The film production is scheduled for May 27–28, 2025, and is divided into two key components: theory sessions, recorded at the College of Hospitality and Tourism, RUTS Trang Campus, and the practical sessions, filmed at Lion’s Tale Trang, one of the leading bar in Trang.

The course was designed and taught by Ajarn Piyanart Akkhakraisi and Ajarn Hussachaipakorn Panma, along with five experienced professionals in the beverage industry for the practical sessions, including:

  • Mr. Pitipat Chooratpriyaporn, owner of Lion’s Tale Trang
  • Mr. Thanapon Jindamanee, owner of Trick or Treat
  • Mr. Worawut Joowattanapong, barista and owner of Reido Bar
  • Acting Sub-Lieutenant Nutthida Sermwitoon, bartender at Lion’s Tale Trang
  • Mr. Theethat Phetsanan, barista at The Exito Café

This project is part of the university’s mission to enhance workforce skills and promote modern tourism knowledge among local communities and the public. It aims to inspire and create career opportunities for youth and professionals in the tourism industry of southern Thailand.

The course will be available soon on the RUTS MOOC platform, offering nationwide access to sustainable and creative professional learning.
