Enhancing Community Well-Being Through Essential Support: Meal Donation Boxes for Flood-Affected Residents in Trang Province

On 28 November 2025, faculty members, staff, and students of the College of Hospitality and Tourism, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus, undertook a coordinated effort to prepare 534 meal donation boxes, supplemented by 290 bakery snack boxes contributed by Somjai Homie Café and 100 packs of drinking water provided by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) Front Office, Trang Province. These provisions were assembled for distribution to individuals impacted by the ongoing flooding in Trang Province.
This initiative was supported through monetary contributions from multiple stakeholders and was jointly coordinated by the Student Development and Alumni Relations Unit and the Student Association of the College of Hospitality and Tourism. Assistant Professor Fapilai Taweesinsopa, Director of the College, led the faculty, staff, and student teams in preparing the food boxes.
All meal boxes, bakery, and drinking water were subsequently delivered to various affected areas, including the Yan Ta Khao Subdistrict Municipality, Nong Trut Subdistrict, Na Toh Ming Subdistrict, Wat Chaeng Evacuation Center, Bang Rak Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Na Talung Municipality, and Khuan Pring Subdistrict Administrative Organization, to ensure timely assistance for those impacted by the flooding.
The meal donation boxes served not only as immediate nutritional support but also as a means of fostering morale among residents affected by the flooding across Trang Province. The College conveys its profound appreciation to all contributors, including financial donors, food-preparation teams, distribution volunteers, and particularly the Student Development and Alumni Relations Unit and the Student Association of the College of Hospitality and Tourism for their pivotal role in executing this initiative. The College further expresses its solidarity with all families impacted by the floods and extends its earnest hope for a swift and complete recovery from this crisis.
