On January 7, 2026, the Community Enterprises Learning Center and Sufficiency Economy Center in Mai Fat, Sikao District, Trang, the College of Hospitality and Tourism (CHT), Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), Trang Campus, organized the “Development of New Product and Distribution Channels Expansions for Community Enterprises” project. It aimed to promote and increase the potential of community entrepreneurs to develop their businesses with resilience, dynamism, and achieve sustainable growth.
The opening ceremony was honored by Assistant Professor Fapilai Taweesinsopa, Director of CHT. The project was under the supervision of Assistant Professor Nutchanat Tupkrut, Head of the Bachelor of Business Administration Program in Business Innovation Management, and Dr. Siriwan Kingrat, Head of the Bachelor of Business Administration Program in Accounting.
The activities included the sharing of knowledge on new product development, the importance of distribution channels, current consumer behavior, as well as basic accounting principles and profit and loss statements, which are essential foundations for effective business management. In addition, practical workshops were conducted to develop products that could be launched to the market and to increase marketing opportunities through online and offline channels.
The lectures and practical training were honored by the participation of Ms. Nichapa Nookwan, Head of the Food and Nutrition Program, Trang Polytechnic College, as a guest speaker on steamed bun (salapao) production, along with a team of lecturers from the CHT, including Assistant Professor Sukpitchaya Boonkuer, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs and Research; Dr. Siriwan Kingrat; Assistant Professor Nutchanat Tupkrut; and Ms. Kittima Hemjinda. The speakers provided close guidance, shared experiences, and delivered valuable knowledge to the participants.
This project focused on enabling community enterprises to analyze both internal and external business environments, plan and formulate marketing strategies aligned with current contexts, strengthen management and marketing capabilities, increase competitiveness, and sustainably expand their customer base in the long term.
Furthermore, the project was also honored by Mr. Phonprasit Suphabut, Head of the Sikao District Livestock Office, Trang, and Mr. Sutthirak Rodrat, Village Headman of Moo 3, Mai Fat, Sikao District, Trang. Their participation and support reflected strong collaboration among educational institutions, government offices, and the local community in jointly strengthening the local economy for sustainability.
