On January 28, 2026, at the Ya-Ta-Lay Meeting Room, the College of Hospitality and Tourism (CHT), Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), Trang Campus, organized “Art in a Glass: Barista & Bartender”, Basic Coffee Brewing and Latte Art Workshop, which is a part of The Professional Skill Training and Capacity Development Project in Tourism and Hospitality. The activity aimed to strengthen students’ knowledge and practical expertise, enabling them to further develop necessary competencies for future careers in the tourism and hospitality industry with professionalism.
The activity was officially opened by Assistant Professor Fapilai Taweesinsopa, Director of CHT. The activity was under the supervision of Aj. Amornrat Sutthithamanon and Aj. Pityada Jeokwon, lecturers of CHT.
The workshop was honored by the guest speaker, Mr. Theethat Phetsanan, a professional Barista from Éxito Café and an alumnus of CHT. The speaker provided extensive experience and expertise in coffee and beverage operations with the participating students. He also introduced various types of coffee and barista equipment, followed by a workshop on latte art techniques. The activities allowed students to practice and develop their barista skills.
The workshop training was effectively engaging, with a large number of students showing their interest and motivation to participate. The workshop was a valuable activity that develops students’ readiness in terms of knowledge, skills, and practical experience, preparing them to become high-quality professionals in the tourism and hospitality industry in the future.
