Exploring the Real Business World: College of Hospitality and Tourism, RUTS Trang Campus, Leads Students to Visit CP Model Organizations to Learn About National Retail Systems

The Business Management and Development Program, College of Hospitality and Tourism, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus, organized an academic enhancement project for students in collaboration with companies under the CP Group, aiming to strengthen educational networks with the community. The activity was conducted under “Sub-Activity 1: Study Visit to a Model Organization in Retail Business Management” from 10–11 March 2026.
The initiative aimed to enhance students’ competencies by providing them with knowledge and understanding of business management in real business environments. Students were able to gain direct learning experiences from industry experts while developing insights into organizational development, logistics systems, product management, and service operations within the modern retail sector.
The study visit was led by Associate Professor Nuchanat Thapkrud, Chair of the Bachelor of Business Administration Program in Business Management and Development, together with Ms. Kallayanee Yutthakan, a lecturer in the program. They guided students from the Business Management and Development Program to visit the selected organizations, where they observed operational practices and attended lectures delivered by distinguished speakers from the host companies. The speakers shared professional knowledge, industry experiences, and successful business management strategies.
On 10 March 2026, faculty members and students visited Ichitan Group Public Company Limited, a leading beverage manufacturer in Thailand. During the visit, students learned about beverage production processes, quality control systems, organizational management, as well as branding and marketing strategies that enable the company to compete effectively at both national and international levels.
On 11 March 2026, the study group visited the All Complex Distribution Center and the 7–Eleven (THE TARA Branch) to observe warehouse management systems, product distribution processes, logistics operations, and modern retail store management. These areas represent key components of contemporary retail business operations. The visit also provided students with insights into the behind-the-scenes operational processes that enable retail businesses to function efficiently and respond rapidly to consumer demands.
This study visit represents an important experiential learning activity that extends students’ learning beyond the classroom. It allowed students to observe real-world business operations, learn management concepts from industry professionals, and apply the knowledge gained to their academic studies, future careers, and potential entrepreneurial endeavors.
Furthermore, the activity strengthens academic collaboration between higher education institutions and the private business sector. Such partnerships contribute to the development of high-quality human resources that meet labor market demands and help prepare students to enter the business world as competent and professional practitioners in the future.Photo: Associate Professor Nuchanat Thapkrud
