On March 18, 2026, at Seagrass Conference Room, the College of Hospitality and Tourism organized a seminar entitled “Creative Power Towards Sustainable Tourism: Transforming Cultural and Natural Resources into Contemporary Tourism”. The event was initiated and conducted by first-year (transfer program) students enrolled in the Seminar for Tourism and Service Industry course, under the supervision of Ms. Wanvisa Ploy Insawang, the course instructor. The primary objectives of this seminar were to create a learning platform for knowledge exchange and to foster new perspectives on sustainable tourism.
On this occasion, the event was presided over by Miss Piyanart Akkakraisri, Chair of the English for
International Communication Program, who delivered the opening remarks. The organization of the
seminar aligned with the policy of Assistant Professor Faphilai Taweesinsopha, Director of the College of Hospitality and Tourism, which emphasizes experiential learning and active student participation. The seminar focused on the exchange of knowledge and experiences in health and wellness tourism, a significant and growing trend in the contemporary tourism industry. Distinguished speakers included Mr.Ekachai Muenthongwaree, an independent tour guide and wellness tourism entrepreneur, and Miss Suthira Pankaew, a lecturer in Wellness Tourism Course, who shared their professional insights and practical experiences.
The discussion was conducted under the theme “Enhancing Creative Well-being through Innovation in Health Tourism towards High-Value and Sustainable Tourism Experiences”. This theme highlights
approaches to tourism development that integrate innovation, creativity, and efficient resource utilization in order to enhance the quality of tourist experiences while simultaneously promoting sustainability for communities and the environment. The seminar was conducted in a dynamic and engaging atmosphere, attracting considerable interest from students and participants. It represents a valuable initiative in strengthening students’ competencies and preparing them to become high-quality professionals in the tourism and hospitality industry in a sustainable manner.
