From March 19–20, 2026, at Thumrin Thana Hotel, Trang Province, the College of Hospitality and Tourism, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus, organized a hands-on training program entitled “Online Marketing for Tourism Industry Businesses”. The program aimed to enhance knowledge and develop online marketing competencies among entrepreneurs, students, and individuals interested in the tourism industry, enabling them to effectively apply digital marketing tools and strategies to business development in the digital economy.
On this occasion, Assistant Professor Faphilai Taweesinsopha, Director of the College of Hospitality and Tourism, assigned Assistant Professor Rarin Kruawarapan, Chair of the Bachelor of Accountancy Program, to preside over the opening ceremony. In her welcoming remarks, she emphasized the importance of developing online marketing skills as a key mechanism for driving business growth and advancing the tourism industry in the digital era.
The project was led by Assistant Professor Rarin Kruaworapan and Dr. Chayanun Klawplod, a lecturer in Bachelor of Business Administration Program in Business Innovation Management. The training featured a distinguished expert speaker, Mr. Tiwakorn Kamjun, Digital Business Trainer, who shared his expertise and practical experience in online marketing. In addition, Dr. Chayanun Klawplod served as a co-speaker, delivering academic insights alongside practical perspectives to foster comprehensive understanding and skill development among participants.
The training content was designed to align with contemporary marketing trends, including modern marketing analysis in relation to social commerce, storytelling techniques in marketing, the application of AI in marketing, the selection of appropriate digital tools for business, personal branding through social media, live marketing strategies, and electronic “Word-of-Mouth (e-WOM). These components aimed to enhance participants’ competitiveness and create sustainable business opportunities in the digital marketplace.
This initiative represents a significant role of the College of Hospitality and Tourism in promoting knowledge dissemination and strengthening digital marketing capabilities among local entrepreneurs. Furthermore, it contributes to building academic collaboration networks to collectively elevate the tourism industry of Trang Province and the broader region toward sustainable growth.
