On August 19, 2025, the administration team, lecturers, and staff led by Asst. Prof. Sitthichoke Janyong, Vice President for Trang Campus, warmly welcomed Assoc. The camp was held under the theme “Marine Wonders & Cultural Connections” from August 18–22, 2025.

The camp was organized by the College of Hospitality and Tourism (CHT) in collaboration with the International Relations Office, RUTS. The opening ceremony was opened by Dr. Lamun Kayurin, Assistant to the President for International Relations, while Asst. Prof. Fapilai Taweesinsopa, Director of the College of Hospitality and Tourism, delivered the project objectives. The camp aimed to strengthen academic collaboration with international partners and provide students with opportunities for shared learning. The camp was mainly coordinated by Dr. Suyaporn Sortrakul, Head of the Hotel and Tourism Program, and Dr. Kuliga Tanasavate, Lecturer from the Faculty of Liberal Arts.

Throughout the five-day program, students participated in a variety of creative and engaging activities, such as ice-breaking sessions to build friendships and connections; eco-tourism activities, including beach clean-ups and Pandanus trees planting; community-based learning at Bo Hin Farmstay, featuring batik painting and community-based tourism (CBT), Thai cultural workshops on traditional Thai dessert cooking, biodegradable Krathong crafting, and introductory diving skills to enrich marine tourism knowledge; and the Shark Tank activity, where students presented innovative projects on sustainable marine tourism.

Tourism Camp 2025 not only enhanced students’ academic and professional skills in the field of tourism, but also served as an important opportunity for cultural exchange, friendship building, and fostering strong ties between students of both countries, paving the way for future collaboration in education and sustainable tourism development at an international level. It also allowed them to integrate the knowledge and skills gained into creative concepts, providing both valuable professional experience and inspiration to contribute to the future of quality tourism.
