On 26 February 2026, at Wichienmatu 2 School, Trang Province, the College of Hospitality and Tourism, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Wichienmatu 2 School to promote academic collaboration and enhance student potential.
Assistant Professor Fapilai Taweesinsopha, Director of the College of Hospitality and Tourism, acting on behalf of the President of RUTS, represented the College of Hospitality and Tourism in signing the agreement with Mr. Phatcharapong Sungsuwan, Director of Wichienmatu 2 School. Witnessing the ceremony were Dr. Jatuporn Hokta, Deputy Director for Administration and Planning, and Mr. Yongyut Sitthichai, Deputy Director of the School. Also in attendance was Assistant Professor Nuchanat Thapkhrut, Chair of the Bachelor of Business Administration Program in Management and Business Development, together with faculty members and staff from both institutions.
The MOU aims to foster academic cooperation through the organization of training programs, academic service activities, and knowledge exchange initiatives. It also provides opportunities for students to participate in activities, practical training, and educational visits within the College of Hospitality and Tourism to prepare them for progression to higher education.
Furthermore, the College of Hospitality and Tourism will support qualified students and the children of school personnel who meet the prescribed academic standards, demonstrate good conduct, and possess strong potential, by offering opportunities to pursue undergraduate studies in the programs available at the College of Hospitality and Tourism. Participation in relevant activities may be eligible for credit transfer in accordance with program regulations. In addition, the College of Hospitality and Tourism will contribute to the professional development of teachers and school personnel through academic training and seminars.
This collaboration is set for a period of five years from the date of signing. Both parties will jointly implement the terms of the agreement to continuously enhance educational quality and expand educational opportunities for youth in Trang Province.
