The College of Hospitality and Tourism (CHT), Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) Trang Campus, is committed to developing students’ competencies toward becoming new entrepreneurs while encouraging innovation and creative business competencies. Accounting Student representatives participated in the competition of Startup Thailand League 2026 project at the regional Coaching Camp (Southern Region) during April 8–10, 2026, at the RUTS, Songkhla.
Lecturers from the Bachelor of Accounting Program trained four student teams to compete. Their competitions were outstanding and remarkable. The representatives earned two Gold Medal Awards and two Bronze Medal Awards. These achievements shown the students’ strong potential in developing innovative business ideas, teamwork, and successfully presenting business models.
The students participated in the project under the supervision and guidance of Assistant Professor Sukpitchaya Boonkuer, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs and Research, together with Dr. Siriwan Kingrat and Assistant Professor Kannika Buathongruang, lecturers in the Bachelor of Accounting Program, who supported and guided the students throughout the overall process.
This activity was also integrated into the teaching and learning process of the course “Intermediate Accounting II,” which highlights the practical application of accounting disciplines. Students applied skills in cost analysis, financial planning, and preparing information for decision making, as well as systematically presenting business concepts within the context of startup business development with a paradigm.
Furthermore, the activity promoted business thinking among students affiliated with 21st-century learner development, focusing on analytical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and innovation skills. The competition aims to prepare students to become practical graduates who can apply their accounting knowledge effectively and sustainably in their future careers and businesses.
