College of Hospitality and Tourism, RUTS Trang Drives Accommodation Standards, Upgrading Entrepreneurial Potential for the Modern Tourism

On June 8, 2026, the College of Hospitality and Tourism (CHT), Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya. Trang Campus hosted a raising awareness event to promote accommodation standards at the Eco Inn Prime Trang Hotel, . This initiative was part of a sub-activity aimed at improving lodging standards to enhance knowledge and develop the potential of entrepreneurs, educational staff, and stakeholders in the tourism and hospitality industry, enabling them to successfully adapt to trends of modern tourism.

On this occasion, Assistant Professor Fapilai Taweesinsopa, Director of CHT, assigned Dr. Dusitporn Hokta to open the ceremony. The project was implemented under the supervision Ms. Jantiwan Samathi, a lecturer in the Tourism and Hospitality Program, and Ms. Piyanut Napor, an educational officer and Head of Student Development and Alumni Relations.
The event was privileged guest speakers, including Ms. Sirikun Kaewmuang, Manager of Baan Bussaba Hotel, and Mr. Peerapol Kaoien, Managing Director of Siam General Technology Co., Ltd. The speakers shared their knowledge and experiences in accommodation business management through lectures and workshops on the topic “Accommodation Business Trends and Modern Tourism.” They also exchanged experiences on how entrepreneurs can adapt to dynamics in the tourism industry.

Additionally, there was the “Self-Assessment of Accommodation Potential and Standards” session, which allowed participants to analyze their strengths, areas for improvement, and guidelines for promoting their establishment’s standards. Another key session was “Developing Service Quality and Customer Experience (Service Excellence),” focusing on creating a lasting impression and ensuring maximum customer satisfaction, and a potential factor in building a competitive advantage for current accommodation businesses.
This activity reflects another important role of the CHT as a hub for developing information in tourism and hospitality. It fosters collaboration among educational institutions, the business sector, and communities to raise standards of tourism and accommodation in Trang Province and the southern region, ensuring strength and sustainable growth.
