The College of Hospitality and Tourism, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), Trang Campus, successfully organized the Reviewer Training Workshop under the project entitled “From Crisis to Adaptation: Advancing High-Quality Marine Tourism in the Gulf of Thailand–Andaman through Learning Ecosystem Development, Modern Management, Technology, and Innovation.” The workshop was conducted as part of Activity 6: Human Capital Development for Tourism, specifically Sub-activity 1: Training Center Management for Short Courses, and Activity 7: Reviewer Training Workshop, on 9–10 July 2026 at Kuanito Patisserie, Mueang Trang District, Trang Province.
On this occasion, Assistant Professor Fapilai Taweesinsopha, Director of the College of Hospitality and Tourism, assigned Dr. Jatuporn Hoktha, Deputy Director for Administration and Planning, to preside over the opening ceremony. In her welcoming address, she emphasized the importance of enhancing the competencies of tourism personnel in digital communication, creative content production, and online destination marketing. These competencies are increasingly essential for strengthening Thailand’s tourism industry in the rapidly evolving digital era.
The project was coordinated by Ms. Wanwisa Ploy Insawang and Ms. Suthira Pankaew, lecturers in the Tourism and Hospitality Program at the College of Hospitality and Tourism. They designed an integrated learning program combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice to equip participants with practical skills applicable to real-world tourism promotion.
The workshop featured Mr. Pitipat Ngowprasert, the owner of the well-known Thai travel page “เที่ยวสุดตัว (Tiew Sud Tua)” and a prominent travel influencer, as the keynote speaker. He delivered a special session entitled “Building a Distinctive Online Identity and Effective Product Review Techniques,” where he shared his professional experiences in developing engaging digital content and effectively connecting with online audiences.
In addition, participants attended lectures and practical sessions on “Creative Content Strategies for Digital Reviewers” and “Smartphone Photography and Video Editing Techniques.” These sessions were jointly facilitated by Mr. Pitipat Ngowprasert, Ms. Wanwisa Ploy Insawang, and Ms. Suthira Pankaew. The training guided participants through the entire content creation process, including idea generation, planning, media production, editing, and presentation across digital platforms.
Participants also engaged in interactive workshops entitled “Creative Photography and Review Writing” and “Content Creation for TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.” Led by Ms. Wanwisa Ploy Insawang and Ms. Suthira Pankaew, these workshops focused on storytelling techniques, visual communication, content branding, and strategic social media communication to increase audience engagement and effectively reach target markets.
Another highlight of the workshop was a special seminar entitled “The Influencer Journey: Promoting Local Tourism Through Creative Content,” presented by Mr. Anon Kingkohyao, a Trang-based influencer and owner of the Facebook page “เที่ยวตรังกับบังกระดาษ”. He shared valuable insights into producing authentic local content that reflects the unique identity of Trang Province while discussing strategies for expanding the visibility of local tourism destinations to broader audiences.
The second day of the program continued with lectures and practical training on “Utilizing Digital Platforms and Social Media for Tourism Reviews and Personal Branding.” Mr. Anon Kingkohyao, together with Ms. Wanwisa Ploy Insawang and Ms. Suthira Pankaew, provided participants with practical guidance on developing a professional personal brand, utilizing social media creatively and ethically, and enhancing their competencies as emerging professional reviewers and digital content creators.
This training workshop reflects the strong commitment of the College of Hospitality and Tourism, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus, to developing a highly skilled tourism workforce capable of adapting to the demands of the digital economy. By strengthening participants’ competencies in digital communication, creative content production, and destination marketing, the program contributes to the promotion of high-quality tourism destinations and local products throughout the Gulf of Thailand–Andaman region. Ultimately, these efforts support the sustainable development of regional tourism and reinforce the long-term competitiveness of Thailand’s tourism industry.
