Business Management and Development Program Enhances Students’ Business Ethics Through Industry-Based Learning

24 July 2026 – The Business Management and Development Program, Bachelor of Business Administration, College of Hospitality and Tourism, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), organized an educational field study at HaadThip Public Company Limited, Ban Phru Subdistrict, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province. The activity was conducted as part of the integration of teaching and learning with cultural preservation, environmental conservation, and the promotion of creative cultural development during the First Semester of the 2026 Academic Year.

The field study provided 25 second-year students with the opportunity to gain firsthand experience through corporate presentations and observations of business operations. The program was designed to broaden students’ perspectives and bridge theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom with practical applications in a professional business environment.

The activity was led by Assistant Professor Sukpitchaya Boonkuea, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Research, together with Assistant Professor Nuchanat Thapkhrut, Chair of the Bachelor of Business Administration Program in Business Management and Development. They supervised and coordinated the visit to ensure the successful implementation of the activity and to maximize its educational value in strengthening students’ academic competencies, ethical values, and professional skills.

During the visit, students attended a special lecture entitled “Business Ethics in Organizational Practice.” The session emphasized fundamental principles of business ethics, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and sustainable business practices. Drawing upon practical experiences shared by industry professionals, the lecture enabled students to gain a deeper understanding of ethical organizational management and responsible decision-making while recognizing the broader social impacts of business operations. The experience reinforced the importance of integrity, accountability, and sustainability as essential qualities for future business professionals.

The College of Hospitality and Tourism remains committed to providing experiential learning opportunities that integrate academic knowledge with ethical development and authentic industry experiences. Through close collaboration with business organizations, the College seeks to cultivate graduates who possess strong professional competencies, social responsibility, and ethical leadership, enabling them to adapt successfully to the evolving demands of the modern workplace while contributing sustainably to business and society.
