Tourism and Hospitality Management students at the College of Hospitality and Tourism, RUTS Trang Campus, recently traded standard lectures for hands-on experience at the “Responsible Business Management for Creative Cultural Development” workshop on August 24, 2026, at the Ya Talay Room!
This initiative seamlessly combined three core subjects—Tourism and Hospitality Law, Entrepreneurship, and Tour Operator and Travel Agency Management. 2nd and 3rd-year students had the opportunity to translate classroom theory into hands-on practice, sharpening essential skills needed for their future careers.
A key highlight was an inspiring session by Ms. Palinda Kerdkhong, owner of Trang’s very own Seven Days a Week Resort. She shared her firsthand insights on running a business that respects local communities, society, and the environment—helping students bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world operations. Huge thanks to faculty leads Dr. Dusitporn Hokta, Ms.Suthira Pankaew, and Ms. Wanwisa Ploy Insawang for spearheading this project!
Beyond textbook knowledge, the event empowered students to balance economic success with social, environmental, and cultural preservation. By inspiring them to transform local heritage into a vibrant “Creative Culture,” RUTS is helping shape a responsible, forward-thinking generation of tourism leaders.
