On 15 September 2026, at the Chaiyaphruek Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Tourism and Hospitality Building, Krabi Technical College, Krabi Province, Assistant Professor Faphilai Taweesinsopa, Director of the College of Hospitality and Tourism, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), Trang Campus, was invited by Krabi Technical College to serve as a guest speaker on the topic “Thai National History.”
The special lecture was organized as part of the Practical Training Program on Tour Guide Skills and Pre-Internship Preparation (Upskill and Reskill) under the Excellent Center Project for Vocational Education.
During the session, Assistant Professor Faphilai Taweesinsopa shared knowledge and perspectives on Thai national history to enhance students’ knowledge, understanding, and ability to apply historical knowledge to professional tour guiding and the tourism industry. Particular emphasis was placed on connecting historical knowledge with the accurate, engaging, and meaningful communication of tourism-related stories, enabling visitors to gain greater value from their travel experiences.
Assistant Professor Dr. Thammasak Lekbanjong, Chair of the Bachelor of Arts Program in Tourism and Hospitality; Miss Amornrat Sutthithammanon, lecturer in the Tourism and Hospitality Program; and senior students from the College of Hospitality and Tourism, RUTS Trang Campus attended the activity. The participants engaged in learning activities and exchanged knowledge and experiences throughout the session.
The project aims to provide learners with theoretical knowledge and practical experience to develop professional competencies and skills aligned with employer and labor market needs in the tourism and hospitality industry. It also prepares students for practical training in real workplace settings and enables them to apply professional tourism knowledge to their studies, internships, and future careers.
Upon completion of the training, participants received certificates of participation in recognition of their involvement in the program. The activity represents another important initiative to enhance learners’ professional skills and potential, preparing them to become qualified and capable contributors to the tourism and hospitality industry.
